Hey Reader.

Welcome to Issue # 46 of AWS Graviton Weekly, which will be focused on sharing everything that happened in the past week related to AWS Silicon: from July 14th, 2023 to July 21st, 2023

In this issue, you will learn:

  • how to measure the performance on Graviton instances
  • that AWS Batch on AWS Fargate now supports Linux ARM64 and Windows x86 containers in CLI/SDK
  • how to use Llama 2 foundation models from Meta on Amazon SageMaker JumpStart
  • how to build an entire Machine Learning Lifecycle with Anaconda Distribution on AWS Graviton
  • and don't miss episode # 605 of AWS Podcast. It's incredible

and much more.

But before I start sharing everything related to the AWS Silicon universe, I wanted to give a big shoutout to other fellow technical newsletters operators:

Thanks, Tobias, Sandro, and Matic for the inspiration to keep sharing great stuff. Keep raising the bar !!!

EVENTS

AWS User Group Lviv Meetup #12, (Tuesday, July 25, 2023, at 10:00 AM PET)

ML Workshop: Text and Image Generation with Hugging Face and AWS Inferentia (Tuesday, July 25th, 2:30 PM - 6:30 PM EDT)

Location: AWS Loft New York (350 W Broadway, New York, NY)

Speakers:

Join us for a hands-on workshop to learn how to deploy open-source models from Hugging Face to build Generative AI applications while reducing your production costs with AWS Inferentia2. We will cover both text and image generation use cases.
First, you will hear from the Hugging Face team about the latest models and trends in Generative AI, and best practices to deploy these models. Later, in a hands-on workshop, you will learn how to deploy a large language model and a diffusion model using AWS Inferentia2 and PyTorch.
We will also compare performance against the benchmarks for other comparable instances in Amazon EC2 so you can get first-hand experience of the performance (and cost!) benefits of AWS Inferentia2. AWS Solution Architects will be around to answer specific questions about your applications and provide follow-up resources to get you started quickly.

Public Sector Day Indonesia 2023 (July 27th, 2023)

Speakers:
