AWS Graviton Weekly # 107

Issue # 107: September 27, 2024 to October 4, 2024

Hey Reader.

Welcome to Issue # 107 of AWS Graviton Weekly, which will be focused on sharing everything that happened in the past week related to AWS Silicon: from September 27, 2024 to October 4, 2024.

Two quick things:

  • Congratulations to the incredible team of Kit (formerly known as ConverKit). We have been a proud Kit customer since the start of this newsletter, and now with the new brand refreshing, the platform is even more intuitive and appealing. Well done, Nathan Barry and team.
  • Some of you requested to me to share some of the most interesting AWS/DevOps/CloudOps jobs out there inside my network, so I will try to do that since this edition. You will find them in the last part of the issue

Now, back to biz

Graviton Developer Day for Python, Go, and Java

Date: Thursday 17th October, 03:00 - 09:30 GMT-5

Hosts: Christian Melendez, Mike Dukes, Syl Taylor

Join this hands-on workshop to learn all about AWS Graviton processors and considerations about how to develop and deploy applications to achieve the best EC2 price-performance and sustainability on AWS. During this hands-on workshop you will take an example application running on x86 instances application (choosing from Python, Go or Java) and learn how to migrate, test, and optimize especially for Graviton. Once you have converted the application you will have the opportunity to learn how to deploy it on Graviton infrastructure through Amazon EKS or Autoscaling Groups. Participants must be able to use their computer to access the labs.
