Graviton Developer Day for Python, Go and Java

Date: Wednesday 25th September

Time: 10:00 - 16:00 GMT+1

Location: 60 Holborn Viaduct, London, EC1A 2FD

About the event

Languages covered: Python, Go and Java

Deployment options covered: EKS with Karpenter or EC2 Autoscaling Groups

Join this workshop to learn all about AWS Graviton and how to develop and deploy applications for AWS Graviton processors to achieve the best EC2 price-performance and sustainability on AWS. During this workshop you will take an example x86 application (choosing from Python, Go or Java) and learn how to migrate and optimize especially for Graviton. Once you have converted the application you will have the opportunity to learn how to deploy the converted application on Graviton infrastructure through Amazon EKS or Autoscaling Groups.

What you will learn:

  • Learn about EC2 and best-practices for AWS Graviton adoption
  • Perform hands-on migration of a x86 modern application to Graviton (choose from Python, Go or Java)
  • Observe savings and application performance differences of x86 vs Graviton and run automated local tests

Deploy the applications onto x86 and Graviton infrastructure (choose from EKS Karpenter or EC2 Autoscaling Groups) and compare Graviton performance improvements
